PUTRAJAYA: The Public Service Department (PSD) has dismissed as a rumour that the cost of living allowance (Cola) and the fixed housing allowance (ITP) for civil servants are to be withdrawn.
“It is a rumour and not true,” PSD director-general Tan Sri Ismail Adam said when contacted by Bernama here.
He was asked whether the Government was considering withdrawing the Cola and the ITP as a measure to reduce national expenditure.
Cuepacs president Omar Osman had dismissed the matter as a rumour on Friday, saying there was no circular to that effect.
