KUALA TERENGGANU: Gentle reminder to civil servants browsing Facebook or other online content during office hours — your heads of department are watching.
In fact, some of the bosses have complained to the Congress of Unions of Employees in the Public and Civil Services (Cuepacs) that some civil employees were spending too much time online and were distracted from work.
“We don’t want to see a circular being issued by the Chief Secretary to the Government. Therefore, I am giving pre-emptive advice to civil servant to minimise the time spent on Facebook when at work,” said Cuepacs president Omar Osman.
He added that there had also been complaints that the time spent on Facebook and other online content during office hours had escalated since the FIFA World Cup began.
Omar said some heads of department were also monitoring content posted on Facebook by their subordinates, ranging from politics to office gossip.
“This may lead to a negative perception of the said employees, and could even lead to disciplinary actions,” he said after opening the Cuepacs’s Terengganu chapter delegates triennial conference here on Tuesday night.
On another matter, Omar took to task some heads of department for punishing subordinates just to “show power.”
He said Cuepacs had received complaints from members that the heads of department had transferred them outstation without giving reasonable grounds for the action.
Other actions included piling on extreme workload on the targeted employees.
Omar said Cuepacs had received an appeal from 12 staff from the Perak Fishery Department, who claimed they had been transferred out without valid reasons.

Amik je tindakan pada semua ni. Takyah nk bagi peringatan. mereka yg buat tu pun bukan tak tahu ia satu kesalahan.....cuba cek kat chat box tu...hari2 muka yg sama je, time opis hour plak tu...pastu meroyan mintak naik gaji. maki sana sini. org semua salah, dia semua betul.
BalasPadamI c in ofis too up people do same like this. Need more pemantau at ofis time work so gomen not open facebook and yahoo.
BalasPadamThank you and nice see you all.
Tak semestinya org ber"facebook" tak siap kerjanya?? Tepuk dada, tanya diri...
BalasPadamaku pikir sebenornye ada orang atas tu takut kat facebook...maklumlah takut kena komen @ kutuk....pastu aku pikir....dia orang tak tahu nak berfacebook....(cam mane nak bukak facebook) atau orang atas tu memang dah tak de isu.....isu tu hanya isu terpencil bagiku...aku tengok skim N2 sampai N41 elok je wat keje..yang lebih2 yang 44 ke atas je...cakap pandai lar bila suruh buat....siap tercirit dlm seluar pun ada.....
BalasPadamkumpulan sokongan memang bangang lagi tolol sekali. dengki betul demo ni dengan jawatan ambo. mentang2 la ambo naik M44 dalam masa 3 tahun ja. dengki sokmo. nate demo semuo nih
BalasPadamBlah la kamalmc...ko aku doa duk 44 smpi pencen...amin.
nak alih tajuk sikek..
BalasPadamrtm teruk juge tak tayang piala dunia tahun ni. dah dekat nak habis baru dia nak tayang.
pelik rtm ni ye..
Laos pun buaek siaran langsung..malaysia..ish..ish...

Salam Wahai Pengurus2 Kakitangan Kerajaan ini. Dah penat lah nk tunggu kenaikan gaji ats dsr kenaikan pangkat. Tp KPT yg naik Gred N26 dah jenuh menunggu. Gaji lum lg dinaikan tp kumpulan ini lah jadi sasaran kalau laporan tak dibuat. Macammana nk selesai keje kalau PTR tadi dah tak kisah sbb gaji mrk dah dinaikkan. Mohon bantuan mrk pun....buat sakit hati je. So pls lah Cuepacs......mohon dgn Jabatan yang telah naikkan gred2 ape je gred tolong berlaku adil....kalau byr gaji gred lain so byr jugak lah gaji d gred lain.
BalasPadambaru tau letih cakap bab kejaan ni...
BalasPadamjangan tunggu sangat..nanti penat..

BalasPadamx... boring... ke...? mcm... bagus... je...?

jengjengjeng...hehehe...
Terima kasih.
