Kota Kinabalu - The Congress of Unions Of Employees in the Public and Civil Services (Cuepacs) want civil servants in Sabah to enjoy similar perksas their counterparts in Penisular Malaysia.
its deputy president Azih Muda who attended the Sabah Medical Service Union seminar at Tang Dynasty Hotel, Wawasan Plaza near here yesterday said the 1Malaysia concept should be implemented at every level.
Cuepacs in hoping that wages amoung civil servants should be uniform regardless of where they are located. "This is talking into consideration the importance of giving a fair treatment to their needs and interest," he said when commenting on a statment by Assistant Human Resource and Human Tecnology Development Datuk Zainab Ahmad Ayid recently.
Aziz said this would also include providing annual air tickets for Sabahans working in the peninsula to return home, as what was enjoyed by West Malaysians working in East Malaysia. Jainab had called on the goverment to also standardize the minimum wage for the employees in manufacturing, plantation and tourism industries in the state to encourage the locals to works in these sectors.
She added it was time for the states and federal goverments as well the private sector to study and work together in standardizing the minimum wage for the various sector that have high potential to be developed.
Commenting on the minimum wage policy that was voiced by the Malaysian Trade Union Congress (MTUC), Aziz said the goverment should make comparisons with other countries on minimum wage for employess.
" Cuepacs is supporting the minimum wage policy to ensure that civil servants will be able to supports their families." said Aziz.
Some 180 civil servants from various hospitals statewide attended the half day seminar.

cantik la tu..kakitangan di semenanjung pun nak kerajaan bayar elaun wilayah macam semua kakitangan di sabah dapat..xpa..tak bagi cola pun takpa asalkan dapat wilayah 17.5% daripada gaji..takat cola berapa sangat..tak aci la org semenanjung hanya dapat wilayah bila bertukar wilayah..org sabah bekerja di sabah pun dapat jugak..
