KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 22 (Bernama) -- Some 1,426 Cuepacs delegates will vote for new office bearers at its 25th triennial convention today.
Cuepacs president Omar Osman will defend his post for the second term since 2007 in a straight fight against Mardi Employees Union president Ramli Omar.
"Results will be announced by election committee chairman Hashim Mohamad at Universiti Malaya's Dewan Tunku Canselor tomorrow," he told Bernama on Wednesday.
Omar said the convention will also discuss adjustment of salary for civil servants next year.
Five candidates are vying for vice-president (2), three for secretary-general (1) and four for deputy secretary-general (3).
Secretary-general Ahmad Shah Mohd Zin is challenged by National Union of Teaching Profession (NUTP) secretary-general Loke Yim Pheng and Federation of Malaysian University Employees Union (Gakum) secretary Ku Azmi Ku Ibrahim.
