Cuepacs secretary-general Lok
Yim Pheng said according to a study they conducted, nearly 60% of public
servants earning less than RM3,000 were unable to afford their own
home.
KUALA LUMPUR Oct 3, 2014:
The Congress of Unions of Employees in the Public and Civil Services (Cuepacs) has urged the government to control the ever increasing price of houses in the upcoming Budget 2015.
Its secretary-general Lok Yim Pheng told The Rakyat Post that with the rising cost of living today, the younger generation are finding it difficult to afford reasonable priced homes.“The younger generation are greatly affected by the current situation and the government must find a way to provide simple yet affordable homes for them.”
According to a study conducted by Cuepacs, it discovered that nearly 60% of civil servants earning less than RM3,000 are unable to afford their own home.The first of four on the Cuepacs’ wish list for the upcoming Budget 2015 on Oct 10, Lok also requested the government to provide a minimal two-month bonus for all government servants in light of the recent hike in fuel prices.
“There is a dire need for the government to coordinate the fixed ho using allowance involving civil servants in Grade 40 and below for the upcoming budget.”Explaining that it is an old issue which affected some 700,000 people in the country, Lok stressed that the coordination of the allowance from RM180 to RM450 needed to be evaluated and implemented soon.

“The allowance rate has not been
reviewed in the past 11 years and it is the time to do so, given that in
these day and time, people in this group may have to allocate up to
even 70% of their salary to pay for their house rental.” Lastly, Lok said that the government
must also review the service scheme allocation in light of the upcoming

Betul lah tu kata CUEPACS, tidak lama lagi, penjawat awam akan tinggal di rumah setinggan atau sewa rumah murah, kerana tidak mampu beli rumah. Umpama orang yang hidup miskin di negara sendiri. Menteri dan YB mana mau turun padang dan tolong penjawat awam yg bergaji rendah atau rakyat miskin?

Akibatnya harga rumah melambung akibat spekulasi dan aliran wang dari Hong Kong dan Singapura, kini Cina Komunis pulak yang membeli ribuan rumah di Penang Lembah kelang sehingga ke Teluk Intan.
Jangan kira lagi Nusajaya yang 90% dimiliki oleh orang Singapura,

5. Peguam (yuran guaman di semua sektor bermula dari pemaju hingalah kepada pembeli dan bank)
6. Buruh asing (bawa penyakit dan masalah sosial serta aliran wang keluar)
7. Kerajaan Malaysia (cukai setem)
8. pejabat tanah (cukai pembangunan & segala macam cukai lagi)
9. PBT (cukai pintu)
SIAPA PULA YANG RUGI
1. Pembeli (kerana tiada pilihan dan harga sentiasa naik setiap bulan dan bukan lagi tahun kerana spekulasi hartanah)
2. Anak bini (kerana duit yang boleh simpan untuk pendidikan dan kehidupan lebih aman telah dirampas oleh pihak di atas)
3. Orang kampung (kerana walaupun mereka bukan pembeli tetapi himpitan nilai tinggi ke atas tanah di kampong menyebabkan mereka meninggalkan industry pertanian dan mahukan pembandaran di tanah mereka)
4. Pembayar cukai (kerana menanggung kos pendatang asing yang bekerja di sektor pembinaan dengan membawa bersama malaria, kusta, TB, kesesakan kenderaan awam dan melarikan anak dara orang)
5. Generasi mendatang yang akan lahir 20 tahun mendatang (mereka kena tanggung semua beban kemusnahan alam di Malaysia oleh aktiviti pembandaran sedangkan mereka tidak pernah memilih untuk dipaksa membayar cukai atas semua kemusnahan ini yang tak boleh dibaiki kembali)
