SEREMBAN, Jan 22 (Bernama) -- Cuepacs will deliberate on the need for promotion and salary progression exercise for about 400,000 support staff two in Kuala Terengganu, next month. Its president, Omar Osman said the recommendations would be submitted to the government."The government should be more open and transparent in considering the promotion of support staff two to enable them to earn higher pensions."Anyway, with the promotion, the junior general workers, drivers, machine operators and office assistants would be getting an increment of only about RM50," he said after meeting civil servants at Wisma Negeri here today. Some support staff two had served the civil service up to 30 years and a number of them were accorded outstanding service awards, he said, adding that denying the promotion would affect their productivity. The promotion exercise would be discussed at the Cuepacs workshop on salary revision in Kuala Terengganu from Mac 5 to 7.-- BERNAMA
