KUALA LUMPUR: Many certified graduated teachers are yet to get a permanent posting.
"There are more graduate teachers now," said Congress of Union of
Employees in the Public and Civil Services Cuepacs President Azih bin
Muda during a press conference after presenting a cheque to Mercy
Malaysia for Gaza victims of Israeli attacks. He said the surplus in graduate teachers arose due to lack of vacancies.
To avoid this situation, he said, the Education Ministry need to
employ teachers who have academic qualification, training and skills."We are aware that some graduates are still jobless. Nevertheless,
graduated teachers should also know that there is no 100% guarantee of
being employed as their applications have to go through several
processes and it also depends on job availability," said Cuepacs
secretary-general Lok Yim Pheng..She advised the unemployed graduates to be patient as they are confident that the Ministry will solve this issue soon.
The cheques of RM20,000 and RM5,000 each were from Raudatul Ulum and Maahad Tahfiq Akademi Iqro Al-Quran orphanages.
