MELAKA, April 11 (Bernama) -- Cuepacs will meet Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak soon to make proposals to improve the civil service and improve the welfare of civil servants.Its president Omar Osman said a letter seeking a meeting with Najib had been sent and that he was still waiting for a reply.The proposals were on the competency assessment test (PTK), privatisation of the public sector, review of medical facilities for civil servants and retirees, cost of living allowance (COLA) and the retrenchment of contract staff," he said after chairing a Cuepacs council special meeting here Saturday.Omar said about 3,000 contract staff had been retrenched nationwide since Jan last year due to the economic slowdown.T
